The colors I use are all complimentary, red green, yellow, purple, blue and orange and their combinations. The subjects often come from old black and white family photos. I have been exhibiting my artwork since November 2001 in coffee houses, galleries and competitions throughout Kentucky and Southern Ohio. I am a 2004 grant recipient from Summerfair Inc.
I have a BA in Art Education from Edgecliff College and an MA in Art Education from Northern Kentucky University. My artistic style has been described as minimalist, as well as colorist. I paint with acrylics using a hardedge style with transparent qualities and the human form, with a bold, simple use of color.
